Everything you need to know: setup, desktop use per platform, and how to use it on mobile.
Postilot doesn't use a generic tone. It builds a model of you — based on what you tell it and how you edit the texts it generates. The more you use it, the more it writes like you.
It takes about 5 minutes. Do it once — then Postilot works for you across all platforms.
Go to postilot.com and sign up. The Free plan is free forever: 3 posts generated per day, no credit card required.
Download Postilot from the Chrome Web Store and add it to your browser. The extension is compatible with Chrome and all Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera, Arc).
Desktop only — Chrome mobile does not support extensions.Click the Postilot icon in the browser toolbar and open "Configure profile". Fill in: age range, sector, role, up to 3 personality traits, writing style (text length, formal/informal register, emoji use), life situation and orientation (optional). You can create different profiles for each platform.
Go to LinkedIn, Instagram or any other supported platform. Click on a text box — the Postilot button will appear automatically. Click it, write a brief and press Generate.
The Postilot panel integrates invisibly into the page. It doesn't open separate tabs or take you elsewhere — it stays where you're working.
As soon as you place your cursor in a supported textarea, the Postilot button appears nearby.
Describe in 2-3 words what you want to write about. E.g. "new product launch" or "reflection on remote work".
Choose tone and language, press Generate. In under 10 seconds the text appears in the panel, already formatted for the platform.
One click inserts the text directly into the field. You can edit it before publishing — every edit refines your AI profile.
Not happy with it? Press "Rewrite" for an alternative version with the same brief. Or choose "Variants" to get 3 different versions of the same text to choose from.
When you click to reply to a comment, Postilot automatically reads the original comment text and uses it as context. The generated text replies directly to that comment — it's not a generic response.
Postilot intercepts the text fields of each platform and automatically adapts the format of the generated text to that platform's rules.
Chrome extensions don't work on Chrome mobile. But you can still use Postilot from your smartphone: generate text from the webapp, copy and paste into the social app you use.
From any mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) go to postilot.com/gestione/. Log in with your account. To always have it handy, add the page to your home screen: on iPhone tap "Share → Add to Home Screen", on Android "Menu → Add to Home Screen".
In the dashboard you'll find Quick Brief. Select the platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok…), choose the tone and language, write in a few words what you want to talk about and press Generate. The text is created following your AI profile and that platform's rules.
Press Copy to copy the generated text. Switch to the social app (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp…), open the post or message creation screen, and paste. You can edit the text before publishing.
If you add postilot.com/gestione/ to your home screen, it behaves like a real app. It stays open in the background, doesn't lose your session, and you can switch back and forth with the social app without logging in every time.
